About the Project

Supporting women farmers with practical solutions, skills, and confidence.

Making Farms Work for Women is a three-year pilot project based in North Mayo, working with 60 women farmers to address real, everyday challenges on the farm.

From improving access to more suitable tools and equipment to building confidence in livestock handling, the project focuses on practical, hands-on support. Through workshops, training, and community engagement, we are creating solutions that make farming more accessible, sustainable, and inclusive — not just for women, but for the future of farming as a whole.

Not Always Inclusive
